Every country has unique tax policies, applicable to different types of businesses and must be accounted for in your accounting documents. You can set and create new taxes according to the kind of tax and tax policy specific to your country.

Creating New Taxes

1. Access this page by clicking Settings (1), then Taxes (2) in the left panel.
2. On the Taxes page, Click + Add Tax.
2. In the popup, enter the preferred name (1) and select the Tax Details (2) from the drop-downs. Click Add (3) once done.
Managing taxes
After you have created your taxes, here is how you can edit, disable to delete them.
Edit Taxes
Once a tax entry is added, only the Tax name can be edited.
1. Click on the Tax on the Taxes Page.
2. On the Tax Details page, select Edit (1) and input the desired name (2).
3. Once done, make sure to click Save.
💡 Do note that only Tax Name can be edited. If any other changes are necessary, kindly create a new tax.
Disable Tax
If there is a tax entry that you wish to retain but is currently inactive, you have the option to disable it.
1. Click on the tax on the Taxes Page.
2. On the Tax Details page, click the Toggle under the Status section to disable the tax entry.
Deleting Taxes
To delete a tax entry completely,
1. Click on the tax on the Taxes Page.
2. On the Tax Details page, select Delete to delete the model.
Configuring tax release
After creating taxes, you will need to determine when to charge the tax, or known as tax release.
There are two configurations for tax release - Instant and Delayed. By default, all tax releases are set as Instant upon a successful transaction. Here's how you can change that.
1. On the Taxes page, click on the specific tax for which you want to configure the release.
2. In the Tax Release section, find the country you want to configure and choose Instant or Delayed from the dropdown menu under Token.
